La Harpe Country Christmas

On December 1st we kept our doors open late and celebrated the 4th Annual La Harpe Country Christmas celebration.

Four years ago current La Harpe Mayor, Ryan Kienast and Hometown Insurance owner, Casey Yager had the idea to start an event that would not only bring the community of La Harpe together but also the surrounding area.  This event would not only be an opportunity to showcase the beautiful town but also highlight the businesses and services offered in La Harpe.  Each year the event has offered more things for visitors to see and do and thanks to community support has grown in popularity.

This year Hometown Insurance was able to give away calendars, ice scrappers and pens to everyone that stopped in.  We also had 4 adult drawings and 2 children’s drawings that everyone was encouraged to enter.  And need we not forget the food!!!  Delicious. What didn’t we have to eat!?

Without a doubt, here at Hometown Insurance Center it is our favorite days of the year.  We love the opportunity to open our doors to current clients but also prospective clients that may not know who we are yet.   It’s a chance to see us with our families, relaxed and enjoying the town we are so proud to be a part of.  We thank each and every one of you that took the time to stop in and say hi and look forward to staying in touch.

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Pearl Harbor

Today, Hometown Insurance Center of La Harpe, asks that you take a few minutes to remember Pearl Harbor....

On the morning of Dec. 7, 1941, America woke up to the shock of Japanese fighter planes attacking their naval base at Pearl Harbor near Honolulu, Hawaii. More than 2,000 American soldiers and sailors died in the attack and over 1,000 were wounded. The bombings led to the U.S. entry into World War II.
